Sayings

People that work at hospitals need to find ways to say things to patients or to each other, in general, to those who need small talk. Here are a few that get thrown around regularly enough to make you want to yak...

No news is good news.

Who let the cat out of the bag.

I was born at night, but not LAST night.

The past is history, the future is a mystery, and today is a gift that's why it's called the present.

When it rains it pours.

A watched pot never boils.

Calling the kettle black.

It takes one to know one.

The common is not so uncommon.

Blessed be the all knowing "they" who have come up with these pieces of dribble that last the test of time, and comfort millions, as "they" say. No, "they" don't say that. But "they" say it might snow tomorrow, aaaand you know what they say about that!!!!!better dust off your shovel!
